--Press Release-- PEI Pipeline Services, LLC (PPS) is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Mark Olson to company President. Mark was one of the original founders of PPS, as well as one of the founders of the smart pig company, Cornerstone Pipeline Inspection Group (a.k.a. CPIG). In addition to his term as the Inspection Services manager for Baker Hughes PMG, Mark has over 15 years’ experience in pipeline design, maintenance, operation, and integrity (working for Chevron, ExxonMobil, and Marathon). Mark says, “I am excited about the opportunity to take PPS to the next level in terms of operational excellence, delivering quality assured projects, and exceeding customer expectations. With the prolonged step change in industry activity, staffing projects is the number one issue facing all mechanical contractors. We are actively stabilizing that situation in the Midwest, by aggressively developing a highly trained ‘home grown’ labor force.” Chuck Petersen (outgoing President) remains an active owner in PPS, but will shift his day-to-day focus back to the management and development of PPS’s sister company, Petersen Engineering, Inc. (pipeline engineering and consulting). Chuck says, “We are thrilled to have Mark back in this leadership role. He is well known throughout the North American pipeline industry for his vision and for his impossibly high performance standards.” Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, PPS is a full service pipeline maintenance and construction mechanical contractor.
